Today, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakesh to begin your hassle-free journey to Essaouira, a beach city located about 2.5 hours away. Along the way, you’ll make a short stop to see the famous goats perching on Argan trees and eat some Argan seeds. You’ll then visit an Argan oil factory to learn how local women make the precious oil in a traditional manner and its various uses.
Before reaching Essaouira, you’ll stop at a high spot to get a panoramic view of the city from above and even take a picture on a camel if you’d like. Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at the entrance of the Medina and harbor, giving you the freedom to explore the old Medina at your own pace. You’ll have the opportunity to see ancient shops, narrow alleys, and local markets, as well as craftsmen working on wood engraving, silver, and jewelry-making. You can also visit the Scala and enjoy the sea view from above.
Afterward, you can enjoy fresh seafood at a local restaurant for lunch, followed by a relaxing walk along the beach while the sun shines on the sand. You’ll depart Essaouira in the late afternoon, around 7:00 pm, for your return trip to Marrakesh. You’ll have a break on the way back to the “Red City.”
